"Big Star Gone" Joey Dunlop Honda
Joey Dunlop died in Estonia Summer 2000.
Joey started his career 1969 and started on the Isle of Man for the first
time 1976. His celebrated his first victory one year later. He won the Jubilee
Classic on a Rea Yamaha.
Overall he won 26 TT-Races and gathered the TT-Replica 80 times during his
25-year career and 98 starts. Furthermore he was first at the Ulster Grand Prix
24 times. No one will beat these records!!
Joey did not force his complete energy into racing therefor he was honoured
as MBE but also he was engaged in charities. Hew as honoured therfor with the
OBE.
Lovingly everyone called him "Yer Maun", already a living legend during his
life.
