
Ducati Fogarty 1995
Carl Fogarty (* July 1st in Blackburn, North West England, England) is a former british motorcycle racedriver and until today one of the most successful riders in Superbike history.
Fogarty, who's nick name is Foggy, won the Superbike World Championship four times. He is well known for his speed as well as his success at the Tourist Trophy and the Isle of Man. In 1992 he set a new lap record with a 750ccm Yamaha. He had a lap time of 18 minutes and 18.8 seconds for the 60.7 kilometre course on Snaefell Mountain, which is an average speed of 198,93 km/h. This record was only topped by Jim Moodie on a Honda RC45 seven years later.
After suffering a heavy accident at the Australian Phillip Island circuit in 2000 Foggy, due to health issues, had to retire fom active racing. With 59 victories and 4 World Championship titles Carl Fogarty is the most successful rider ever in Superbike history.
To honour him and his achievements, Ducai In 2002 released the Monster S4 Fogarty which was limited to 300 unites World wide. Legendary are his successful battles with Scott Russell, Aaron Slight and Troy Corser.
